Fully automatic gluing of the glass panes - GVA 115S.H

When applying the adhesive in the sash rebate, the adhesive is applied between the glass pane edge seal and the sash profile. A gap of approx. 3mm is required for this. For gluing the glass pane, the sash can already be mounted in the frame. The advantage here is that the sash can be optimally aligned in the frame. Due to the increased rigidity of the sash after gluing, the sash and the frame form a perfect unit.

Exact pane bonding in the sash rebate

Precise and clean bonding of the pane in the sash is guaranteed by the LEMUTH automatic pane bonding machine. The profile to be processed must be structurally adapted accordingly. I.e. the gap between the glass pane and the sash rebate base is reduced to 3 - 4 mm in order to minimize the amount of adhesive. Reduction of the gap is possible because this bonding concept eliminates the need to block the glass pane.

Fully automatic processing

After the operator has inserted the pane into the sash of the fully assembled window on the upstream infeed frame, the system takes over the window for processing. Individually driven conveyor belts at the bottom and back of the system ensure gentle element transport. Before gluing, the window element is automatically clamped against the rear wall of the automatic machine. The adhesive is applied circumferentially between the glass composite and the sash rebate. After application, the window elements are transported out of the vending machine. The glazing beads are then fitted. Shortly afterwards, the window element can be gently transported onwards.

High-tech in every detail

The automatic machine has an automatic plausibility check to verify the exact glass thickness. Furthermore, a special device for aligning the adhesive jet is integrated for hotmelt adhesives. This ensures that the injection nozzle always glides along the profile at the optimum injection angle. The heated parking position for the adhesive nozzle prevents the adhesive from curing during waiting times. When using silicones or 2-K polyurethanes, the nozzle is equipped with a travelling compensation element to compensate for profile tolerances. The nozzle glides along the glass.

Bonding of any number of fields

The system allows the processing of windows with any number of fields. After part recognition by means of a barcode reader, the control system takes all the part information required for processing from the data record.

Greater stability through gluing

Adhesive bonding technology achieves significantly greater stability in the element. Settling and deformation phenomena can be significantly reduced. At the same time, when gluing PVC sashes in the sash rebate up to a part size of approx. 2 m, the reinforcing steel can be dispensed with. The sash profile itself can be made narrower, which results in additional material savings. The sash becomes lighter. The higher stiffness in the element also makes it possible to manufacture larger sashes.

Excellent thermal insulation

Bonded sashes are absolutely windproof. Even in elements with standard glazing, thermal insulation values can be improved by 20%. Windows with these very good parameters are ideal for use in passive and low-energy houses.

Advantages of gluing panes

  • No pad insertion necessary
  • Mechanical pre-priming only necessary for sashes
  • Slender appearance (more light in the living space)
  • About 20% better insulation in profile cross section
  • Improved sound insulation (the glue acts as an absorber)
  • Better security and protection against break-ins due to improved connection between glass and sash
  • Glass pane units can be replaced at any time

VERTICAL machining position - optimised for gluing in the sash rebate
When the glue is applied in the sash rebate, it is applied between the glass pane edge bond and the sash profile. A gap of approximately 3 mm is required for this application. For the gluing of the glass pane, the sash can already be mounted in the frame. The advantage of this is that the sash can be optimally aligned in the frame. Thanks to the increased rigidity of the sash after gluing, the sash and the frame form a perfect unit.
