Development of new automated machines for high-tech window manufacturing

LEMUTH was the first to manufacture suitable practical machines for the automatic insertion of the waterproof seal in window frames and sashes, for the fully automatic insertion of metal fittings as well as for the fully automatic gluing of glass panes to the unit.
Already since 1992 LEMUTH customers have been automatically adding the waterproof sealing in window frames and sashes, since 1996 metal fittings have been inserted into sashes, and since 1999 metal fittings have been fully automatically inserted into window frames. Since the beginning of 2004, the automatic gluing of glass panes to sashes has been successfully put into practice. The cutting to size and machining centres of the unicut200 series operate regardless of profile. Already since 1999 have these non-profile-specific bar machining centres in window manufacturing factories been in operation.

LEMUTH automatic machines bring time-consuming and error prone manual operations to automation, which means solid quality products, manageable costs and technological advance compared to the competition. Planning – Designing – Construction drawing

LEMUTH design window manufacturing machines for around 80 window units/shift. The requirements for capacity, processing and space proportions determine the subsequent design of the machine. Thus, the planning process always takes place in close collaboration with the window manufacturer.

Construction – Electrical engineering

Experienced construction engineers and sketchers transform the engineer’s drafts into accurate drawings. The designs are created on modern 3D terminals. Based on construction and machine technology, the most qualified electrical engineers develop the diagrams with specialised CAD-software.

Assembly part manufacturing – Mounting – Wiring

The manufacture of the assembly parts takes place to a large extent in our own firm. The parts are manufactured with great care using our own automated CNC milling machines. The short processing time between manufacture and mounting, make quick response times possible. Whilst the mounting is taking place the electrical engineering and system wiring is set up. As soon as the corresponding units are mounted, well qualified skilled workers install all the required wires, tubing and sensors.

Software development – Programming – Data connection

Complex manufacturing machines with multiple-axle applications and interpolation require sophisticated software solutions. The software division engineers programme the complete machine software for SPS-controls for Beckhoff, Siemens, Ferrocontrol and Jetter. The PC-surfaces and applications can be designed for Windows or Dos systems. To effectively programme the machines LEMUTH works with standard SPS-libraries to IEC 1131-6.

Start-up – Staff training – Customer service

For the competent handling and maintenance of the machines on site LEMUTH offers considerable assistance. This is why the intensive staff training is best held on site whilst the machines are put into operation. The user-friendly and comprehensible operating instructions provide good assistance. If any further queries should arise then LEMUTH customer service would be pleased to help. Most small problems can be solved quickly over the phone. The customer service on site takes place for the most part through our own employees.
