Automatic adhesive tape application machine - KBA 600.H

Automatic adhesive tape application machines of series KBA600 have been designed for applying an adhesive sealing or double-sided adhesive tape automatically around the entire periphery of the window or door profile overlap. This means a significant saving in time compared with manual application and the clean, high-quality application of adhesive tapes.

Fields of use of an automatic adhesive tape application machine
The application of double-sided adhesive tape is necessary, for instance, when gluing in the casement overlap to establish an initial adhesion between the glass pane and sash profile until the glue has hardened. Sashes prepared in this way can be further machined immediately after the glass has been inserted without subsequent pane alignment or blocking. The wood window is an application example of a tape coated on one side with an adhesive. Wood windows are often manufactured without a sealing groove. This automatic machine is capable of applying the adhesive tape exactly along the edge of the sash.

Automatic adhesive tape application around the entire periphery
Automatic application starts after the sash has been loaded. The application head moves down to the corner from where to start and applies the adhesive tape. Optical sensors direct the head along the edge of the sash side.  Sash tolerances are thus detected and automatically compensated. The adhesive tape is cut off at right angles at the end of the side. For the following side, the application head turns through 90° and starts applying the tape so that it abuts on the previous tape. As an option, the adhesive tape can also be applied continuously. Before the adhesive tape is automatically applied it is manually threaded from a reel or box into the application head. A suction unit sucks in the protective film which is fed via toothed wheels into a receiving container. This receiver is capable of accommodating the protective film of a complete reel before it has to be emptied.

Choosing the suitable configuration
As an option the machines can also be used to apply gaskets or glues in addition to adhesive tapes. All machine configurations are available in 1-minute or 2-minute cycle times.

Convenient handling
The end of the adhesive tape is indicated by the control. For reloading the tape the operator gets a new reel or box and neatly sticks the end of the previous adhesive tape together with the end of the new one.

Advanced control 
Processing data can be optionally provided online, by the central computer system, a disk or manually. The machines can also be run in the automatic recognition mode. A modem has been integrated into the control for fast and uncomplicated teleservice.
